SOLUTION:

Ok so apparently it just doesn't like fullscreen mode, but borderless windowed is fine. Ho hum, problem solved .

As soon as I click launch in the Launcher, I get a black screen until I get a Memory Access Violation, and what I'm assuming is the main menu music.
