So humans can currently carry lots of stuff and even more when equipped with certain clothing items. What about making humans have no inventory space and only getting slots when equipped with clothing items? This would make inventory more limited but it would make more sense, IMO. That's actually pretty clever. :O

Also, it seems the playerbase is kinda small. I'm making a mod and there's at least 1 person hosting a server with it but the mod gets downloaded only a handful of time after each time I release a new update. I also see few servers with actual players in them.

I think it's best to make a mod. All of that stuff seems hard to recreate using only vanilla stuff. I'm not sure how some of that stuff could be created, though. Most weapons are easy but self repairing hulls and teleporting bombs sound hard to mod in.

The Kestrel sub is awesome, btw.

Motion Sensors are actually in the game already. Alien Ruins have them to detect intruders and close doors. It's possible to mod them so they use custom sprites and work with wiring.
