Well, if we take 682 to be the most dangerous that can actively harm us as opposed to some format eldritch being or whatever, then it has literally no chance of wiping out humanity as a single individual because it can be in exactly one place at a time.

Besides, seeing as the back stories for it range from a ritual to it being an alien to it being Harlan Ellison's intellectual property, (all of which seem to end the exact same bloody way by having the shocking twist revealed by saying something or the other is disgusting), 682 probably wasn't knocking about in the 1800s.
