UNNAMED NPCS DISCUSSION

The game (namely the intro) is chock-full of various NPCs that may or may not survive the remainder of the game. Their actions usually never interwind with that of D-9341's, and very few of them survive to escape to the surface.

| IN-GAME |

In the intro, there's about 4 different NPCs that the player encounters. The most prominent of which, is the Intercom Voice, whom is voiced by DukeLovesYou. He was recently given an in-game appearance as an elderly staff member that overwatches 173's testing. Next are the 2 D-Classes, and fourth is the scientist found briefly after the intro.

Post any suggestions for NPCs (preferably non-SCP) and discuss the ones in the game at this point.

I wonder if there could be "friendly" NPCs, or at least one.

As in, when you enter a random hallway with windows (if such a hallway is added), there could be a D-Class standing next to the entrance. He urges you to follow him, and you walk down the hallway together hoping that the two of you can escape safely. A plan which is pretty much thrown out the window when 682 suddenly grabs the D-Class, drags him through the window, and quickly devours him. Then he'll try to get you, too, but if you back against the wall he won't be able to reach you, and he'll either get disinterested or a guard will ambush him and capture his attention. Then you've got to run like HELL to the other side and pass through to safety.

Just a random thought. As for the ones already ingame, I don't have a lot of suggestions apart from my post in "Audio Requests."

We have to dig deeper.

I mainly think discussion on this thread could relate on how more NPCs could be added, or ones that already are existing are improved upon. To be honest, in 0.7, I was expecting a bit more of the "staff trying to escape the facility with varied success" aspect, I mean the 096 guard at the scientist and guard at the beginning are cool, but more dynamic and less scripted NPCs would be really cool, like how Miro mentioned in the guard discussion.

D-9215 was used in containing 106 in its breach before the game, so he's long gone by now. Perhaps the player should be given a backstory to the lure subject, like a small brief. Something that would make them think twice about sacrificing him to the corrosive man covered in acidic mucus.

It also seems the Lure Subject has been given his animations in the latest update, or that I've seen, which is pretty neat.

The Lure Subject got his animations? Thats great. That was one of those little things that urked me when I watched the scene of him getting caught by 106.

I'm pretty sure that this guy is Security Chief Franklin. Especially given that he was the only person who could report D-9341's death if it occurs in the intro (it even mentions that Franklin was present in 173's chamber during the breach), and the site's PA system can randomly call Franklin and tell him to report to 173's chamber.
