First time playing on this server yesterday.
I captained the ship whilst a crew of nine other people plugged holes, wandered aimlessly, and created more holes with the HK3 minisub. (Hunter-Killer)

We sat there, 30m from an artifact, without anyone nutting-up and swimming for it.
I unlocked the door to do it myself, where-upon another person joined, stole the cuffs out of my room, handcuffed me, stole my ID, and locked himself in the navigation room. A few moments later, we were sinking to the bottom of the reef as he smashed the main sub into everything he could see.

The sub was stationary for 10 minutes due to people redocking flooded minisubs and not saying anything.

BT Public 24/7 finally back online after more then 4 months!

After a week of testing durability and new possibilities, I have made my decision to put it back online. Not much changes, every service will be online, including administration and information at the website. Ofcourse I will continue to improve BS, as I have done before. To keep up-to-date with the latest changes, I recommend you join the Discord server, the best way to communicate directly

Administration applying will be possible again, we currently have 3 administrators, 4 plus me. Click on the link in the post above this one for more information.

Can you please open a modded server with the chiko mod 3.4?
I played it once or twice and playing vanilla again feels pretty lame, since the former adds so much more content.

In short, no I won't. My intention has been and is to support the game. When I started hosting a year ago, I found out that a stable server was needed. I made the choice to setup a server, something I really like doing in my spare time. What I am trying to tell is that I want the server to be as close to the original game as possible, so the playerbase always has a vanilla server to choose. I leave creative modding mainly to others, I might look into functional modding later (something I am already using at this moment, the mod by Nilanth).

When the situation asks, I am willing to host a second server (as I have been doing at greenlit period). This will also be vanilla.

Barotrauma Server announcement 18-04-2018 - BT Public 24/7 #2

After a month of testing BT Public 24/7 #2 on a VPS, the decision has been made to put it online definitively. Thanks by donations over the years, it's possible to keep the server online for atleast 10 months! The server will be identical to #1, will be maintained 24/7 and will also be administrated by the team.

Short description
BT Public 24/7 #1 is being hosted since October 2016, aside from a few months gap last year around summer, it's been online ever since. I have always kept focus on keeping the services as public as possible and will continue to do so. Barotrauma is an amazing game, it shares a lot in gameplay with Space Station 13, one of my favourite games. Nowadays BT Public is not the only 24/7 maintained server and that's a good thing, it's a sign of grow in popularity around the game. I hope to see this game grow out to something way bigger, surely looking forward to what's yet to come.
