Here's my attempt at trying to explain this, if you have any extra questions just ask.

Both the X and Y start on the right and go clockwise.

The values you put in are how many degrees the lines will turn clockwise.

You can keep doing this until you get your desired turning range.

If you enter negative values the line will turn counter-clockwise.

The above is a great start.

The one thing that will mess you up most is that changing the Y value after you've changed X results in X resizing down and screwing up your angle, because X must always be less than Y. Work backwards when you do: Enter Y first, then X, and it'll look exactly as you need it.
