War Stories

So I'd like to hear some peoples stories of their most epic moments in Barotrauma. I'll start with my own.

The sub I was on board had crashed, and some psycho thought it was a good idea to infect people with husk eggs before we crashed. After we attempted reclamation without know about the husks, there were five on board, and me and another guy(his name was Laryenx or something like it, but for the purposes of the story I'll call him Lary) had to clear it out. Thankfully, someone had died outside the sub with like six full oxygen tanks, so air wasn't a problem, and they had been security. We then lured one of the husks that was endangering our entry, and I stunned and killed the thing. As we moved in, I managed to trap the other four husks on the right half of the sub. I then proceeded on alone to clear the infected while Lary repaired the left half of the sub and prepared for the needed Mechanic's arrival. I entered the central hallway and lured the husks to me, managing to stun and drag one of them into the room. Unfortunately, the husk, who happened to ironically be my former life, infected me before I could manage to kill it with my welder. Knowing my fate, I proceeded to kill the third husk in the same manner, and then seeing that the fifth husk was trapped in a lower room, I lured the fourth husk into containment and trapped it there, before killing the fifth using the last charge of my stun baton, and, knowing my fate was sealed, locked myself in containment with the fourth husk, where I was promptly killed. Later, after fixing the ship and meeting up with the repair crew, Lary found my infected body and the fourth husk safely locked away, and mourned my sacrifice. The server then restarted at the exact instant that I arrived back at the sub and that the engines were fixed.

Besides the classic "trapped a mantis in a room behind me at the last second", there have been plenty of crazy creature moments perpetuated by clever admins. As for the best thing to happen to me naturally? Probably a hostage situation on a larger sub with the captain. Or sprinting away from Security as an assistant, making them baton the Captain at the helm, and immediately having the sub slam into a rock face which resulted in a quick and untimely death for everyone. Fun times.

I was a noob. New to barotrauma and i only wanted one thing. Blood. So i knocked a person out and locked him in the balast. That poor guy, the whole round he was calling for help and no one came for him. Finally a moloch crashed the sub and the sole survivor was that man i locked in the balast. In a fesperate struggle to get out he cuts open the hatch. Only to drown in the water above. End of story i was banned. But spectating is fun

I hated an admin on a server. He was such a cheater. Whenever he died he would revive himself. So i repeatedly knocked him out and and put him in the reacor room. I made a melt down shot the admin in head and weled the room shut. Sorry for this but the reactor room was like a gas chamber. It burned from the reactor and the admin couldnt revive himself. He just sood up and fell(from dying) and this repeated till the round eneded. End of story i was banned

On Vellamo 2 some madman named Drake locked himself in the reactor by rewiring the outer door and took 2 people hostage (1 being a prisoner and the other being the captain). He ended up executing the captain with his own gun. Occasionally he would open the door and fire shots at the people outside and at the time I was playing medical doctor. I could only save so many and the submarine was really lacking in meds to begin with but I managed to save 6 people but it was very stressful. I had to craft a shit ton of chloromydride to keep the dying people alive long enough so I can craft drugs to actually save them. Eventually I had to settle the situation myself and baited the griefer into opening the door so I could hit him with 5000 volts from a baton. I rescued the remaining hostage and narrowly stopped the reactor from having a meltdown.
