This is still a thing

Whenever you kill anything, it instantly respawns. This includes everything, and infinitely.
This makes killing monsters a very bad idea, as if you're killing a monsters that's giving a chase, you're better off risking it damaging your, as if you kill it, it may respawn in front of you.

Well technically the monsters spawn too over time and they normally spawn pretty far from the sub but it makes sure you'll see it but yeah killing monsters affects that too this is a reason of why games get laggy over time and not only because maybe there was a mass murder in the sub and now there are 7 bodies making lag... i hope the steam release makes this better.
