Sometimes the handheld radio runs out of range, or you need to put a mask on.
For those moments, a stationary intercom that runs on a capacitator should be useable if you stand infront of it with r;.
For example, a breach happens and you need your mask, you can put the mask on, swim to the nearest PA system, and then warn everyone of the breach(or intruder!)
Re: Intercom / public announcement system.
#2What about an entire radio station post to go along with it?
The operator could take any radio messages he deems important and rebroadcast them over the intercoms and aim an antenna to boost radio range in one direction. Would also allow traitors to sabotage the radio hub so you can't just instantly warn the entire sub

#3This provides some very neat gameplay actually.Rick wrote:What about an entire radio station post to go along with it?

The radio station provides the crew with a reliable radio source, while the crew has to keep the radio station secure.
Re: Intercom / public announcement system.
#4Actually it would be cool if we had an actual broadcast system in the sub. Basically headset/comms station signal goes to a Communications hub machine and from there to everyone else's radios. Basically if the Communications hub is destroyed, radios do not work.

#5Nice idea, finally a way to get rid of the radio, since it makes traitoring unnecessarily complicated.WarlordToby wrote:Actually it would be cool if we had an actual broadcast system in the sub.
