Energy shield.

Energy shields could be placed in corridors to keep water and wildlife, if said corridor ends up being filled with water, due to a breach. Players can walk through them to fix the breach, without the risk of filling the rest of the sub of water. Though, if players are not careful, any wildlife could easily destroy it, without much effort, and those god-forsaken husks can just walk right through.

(Yeah, it's a little bit too late to reply, but...)
It's kinda impossible to make this kind of shield, since everything about ships is "walls"+"hulls"+"gaps" and there's no way to prevent water from going one way or another, except close up the "gaps" with doors.

Well, yeah... but it makes fixing gaps easier, without the risk of flooding the rest of the sub.(Or, at least, reduces the chance.) And like I said, any of the wildlife can destroy it, like breaking a twig.
