The karma system is a joke. You can just leave and join to get full karma, in that way it is more likely to punish people who kill griefers. The only time prisoners run out of cells is when security are shit or there is a griefer, and if it is the latter then the griefer will just take their restraints off, which in turn means the griefer has a restraint set to use on other players. Besides, I don't believe permastunning is the right way to treat a prisoner, that just makes them a shitty version of a spectator. Besides, it's not even possible to have them start off with a restraint set on.

Unless there has been a fix, two handcuffed players can free each other. The handcuffs prevent you from accessing your own inventory, but not someone else's. This means that you can take off someone's handcuffs, just by taking it off their hands slot. Keep this in mind when placing two or more cuffed prisoners somewhere.

New mod update, lads! Here's the changelog:


Mod Changes:
-Added a new map location, Shipyard. Mechanics and Engineers are common in this location.
-Added a new background wall. Rusty steel panels for rooms like brig cells, storage areas, etc.
-Added a new background texture, Ceiling Chains. Just like the ones in the movie Aliens.
-Added a new background object, wall bed. It's a single metal bed bolted to the wall.
-Added a new creature hunting mission involving a Charybdis.
-Added 2 new variants for the Utility Jumpsuit. They are accesible via Sewing Kit usage.
-Added missing recipes for ByPass - Handcuffs and ByPass - Diving Knife.
-Wetsuits don't use the head slot anymore so players can use hats and helmets with them.
-Steel crates, steel footlockers, cargo containers, diving crates and refrigerators are waterproof now.
-Increased the effectiveness of Calyxanide to values closer to vanilla.
-Nuclear Reactors have cooling rate disabled unless you put at least one coolant rod inside.
-Replaced the vanilla reactor meltdown counter with a new one that uses its condition instead.
-"Removed" the meldown counter from Diesel-Electric Generators so they can be used past their previous threshold. They might still catch fire.
-Diesel-Electric Generators no longer break with EMP damage but they get damage from fire now.
-Attempted a hacky way to address a limb depth bug with clothing.
-Fixed Ballistic Vests and Helmets requiring too much skill to switch in the Sewing Kit.
-Fixed a mistake in Gauss Carbine/Rifle description in their mags.


Class A Station:
-Added a wall bed in the cell found in the Lab.
-Added ceiling chains in the cargo area.

Aegir Mark IV:
-Replaced the wall in the brig with the new one.
-Replaced some bunk beds with wall beds.

Nehalennia I:
-Replaced the wall in the brig with the new one.
-Replaced some bunk beds with wall beds.

Nehalennia II:
-Replaced the wall in the brig with the new one.
-Replaced some bunk beds with wall beds.
-Fixed the door to the Medical Bay again.

Themis:
-Replaced the wall in the workshop with the new one.
-Replaced some bunk beds with wall beds.

Njord:
-Replaced the wall in the cargo area with the new one and added ceiling chains.

Not true. Out of experience dragging things out of an inventory is pretty weird in that you can drag the items out but it doesn't take the cuffs off. If I recall on your screen it looks like they have no handcuffs on but they do on their screen so it doesn't matter. Without a third party they will stay handcuffed.
