Everything is wired up correctly, yet the pumps just refuse to work for some reason. All of them as well. The engine doesn't work either.

#2Engines are directly wired to battery outputs. You need an intermediary to handle the power (junction box or relay.)
Engines are also too far out into the water, so they're getting breaking from being under pressure.
You're also going to have a little fire/sparking in the ballast the moment you hit that "Activate Pumps" button. You have 2 things wired to the reactor output (grid power matching between two, but loads different.)
