Valravn Industries Ships (VIS) Mega-Thread [1/9/2018]

#1
The following thread is a depository where information and downloads for all available Valravn Industries Ships can be found. If a ship can be found in this thread it is safe to assume that it is compatible with the latest version of Barotrauma. This thread may also contain versions of ships compatible with the "Barotrauma Extended (BTE)" modification.

A Quick Bit of Valravn Industries Lore: The company was founded in the year 2045 by 'steam user': David Bowie's Bum (now Valravn) under the name: "Space Bum Incorporated" and mass produced economy and military spacecraft until the year 2395. Following financial hardship the company was reorganized as Valravn Industries. The newly reformed company would be forced to explore new avenues due to the spacecraft market becoming saturated. One of these avenues most pursued was the manufacturing of submersible craft to be used on Europa. The result of a spacecraft company manufacturing submarines is a variety of "unique" crafts, each with its own quirks and flaws. Valravn Industries is still considered an outsider by the submarine market, but its stockholders have high hopes for the future.

Submarine Pack:
-Contains all current submarines
-Some submarines may still be WIP

VIS 'Ixion' XEC-1 Submarine:
-"A U-Boat style submarine by Valravn Industries. Valravn Industries had previously only built spacecraft, but upon seeing potential growth in the submarine market they quickly drew up and built some prototype submarines. The now dubbed 'Ixion' is one of the last surviving prototypes of this model and was sold to (insert organization here) under dubious circumstances. You are starting to figure out why this model never made it into full production...." (5-10 Players)

VIS 'Varuna 2' XEC-2 Submarine:
-"A large and somewhat reliable submarine manufactured by Valravn Industries (6-12 Players). After the massive failure that was the XEC-1, Valravn Industries mocked up the XEC-2 with the idea that bigger is somehow better. This ship features 4 railguns with few blind spots, a large cargo hold, and robust design. This model saw moderate success but didn't sell in large quantities due to high production cost. It's is not fast by any means, but will get you where you are going in one piece. This ship was dubbed 'Varuna' by your crew."
-Micro Submersible(required):

VIS 'Haumea' RPH-1 Submarine:
-"This model was a bold move made by Valravn Industries in attempt to compete with more affordable models produced by it's competitors. The idea was to repurpose Orion Series hulls and use them as submarines. The company already had the facilities in place to mass produce Orion Series Orbital Destroyers so converting the hull into a submarine would circumvent the great expense of building new facilities for new submarine production. The end result was a behemoth of the submarine world with some of the thickest armor available on the market and at a price that most small organizations could afford. One of the main factors of its success was the marketing campaign, which only featured the submarine half submerged in water. This hid it's slightly phallic appearance, which the submarine market wasn't accustomed to. This particular ship was dubbed 'Haumea' by the crew." (8-16 Players)
-Micro Submersible attachment(required):

BTE Versions:
-Ship:
-Mini Sub:

VIS 'Eris' RPH-2 Submarine:
-"This vessel is a repurposed hull of a "Super Guppie" series orbital-runabout and is specifically designed to be operated by a small crew. (3-6 Players)"
Image
VIS 'Guppie' MS-1 Micro-Submarine:
-A detachable mini-submarine by Valravn. "Do you like tight spaces, breaking safety codes, and walls so thin you can hear the water rushing by? Then this is the sub for you! This little bugger is so sketchy, not even our test pilots would climb in!" Seriously though, this thing is a little death trap.

VIS 'Namaka' MS-2 Micro-Submarine:
-"This submarine is meant to be attached to the Haumea, but in the right circumstances it could probably be used alone."

That's all for now folks, I'll be working on a sort of poster so you can compare the sizes of all submarines I've made so far. Thank you all so much for your support and feel free to send me bug reports or suggestions. Special thanks to discord user: Zeroicedragon, and Paddle's Playhouse. :duck:

Hi there, as I have left a note for myself to watch the 'VIS 'Eris' RPH-2 Submarine' since January the 11th, I have slightly edited the version today, in order to give it medical items, which allows the sub to becom in rotation at BT #1 and #2. It's merely just to have it in operation, since it's been a nearly complete sub for so long!

If you are interested in this version: https://landon.stackstorage.com/s/vpK8bwIrFkl1L2l
Changes are: Empty cabinets in medical room filled.
