The Alpha Pod was a design commissioned by the T.I.D.E. Foundation for environmental remediation projects. Hundreds of Alpha Pods were built in anticipation of the growing need for deep sea cleanup operations. Unfortunately, the design was abandoned and the fleet sold off after several deployments ended in disaster, convincing the public that the foundation was doing more harm than good by polluting the ocean floors with Alpha Pod wreckage. Today, refitted Alpha Pods are some of the cheapest shuttles on the market.
This is my first Barotrauma creation and I had fun making it. The colours change from blue and orange while deployed, to blue and green when in docking range, to white when docked.
