I was playing yesterday and I never realized just how bad the current footstep sounds are until I compared the with D-9345's footstep sounds. The metallic clopping from the MTF and Guards really takes me out of it. I think it would be a really good idea to improve the Guard and MTF footsteps.

I think this would be a nice little fix, if I remember correctly SCP-049 has the same sound effect as well.
