As an alternative way for waiting for the MTF to turn them off, or just avoiding them in general, I believe there should be a pair of wire cutters somewhere in the game. The wire cutters could be used on a power box.

Nice Idea,it would be pretty cool if it was added into the game.

Well, that timing can be tricky, especially when being chased by SCP-173, SCP-106, of MTFs (especially SCP-173).
