Some of our Russian SCP fans have got an idea.
Since there are a lot of bugfixes uploaded almost everyday, it would be good to add "Check for Updates" button in the launcher. How should it work, you ask?
All game versions are in .zip folders. In this folder will be .ini file with version number(for example, 0.5.6). And in unzipped folder on your computer(with older version)there is the same file, only containing another number(0.5.5). When you press the "Check for Updates" button, two .ini files will be matched. If the numbers are the same, we'll get a message "Updates not found". If they're not, then .zip folder will be downloaded to your computer, repacked by script or something and will replace old game files.
That's what we think.
It's a bit hard for me to understand the process because I'm not a programming related person. But I'll try to answer your questions by translating the answers from Russian.
