So basically, whenever I pick up the paper on the desk so the guards can open the door, the game almost instantly crashes. Just that. Not when I read it, but only if I pick it up, and it doesn't give me any error message saying what happened.

I could just disable the sequence altogether but I would still like to fix this, thanks.

We can't fix that since it doesn't happen for us. Are you sure that there is no error message?
If no then please send your PC stats
