As I roamed the misty forest looking for an exit, I suddenly came upon what looked like a large missing section after a turn — a clear-cut line in the scenery with nothing but blue mist ahead.

Stepping over the line made me fall to my death (contrary to the pit bug in the elevator or elsewhere, which does not kill us, I believe).
