I was able to resolve a few of the bugs I encountered while playing.
1. The overall stability of the game and the inability to read other documents without causing an MAV was resolved by me running the compatibility troubleshooter.
*New Bug: I used the S-NAV regular after putting batteries in it. Upon putting it on-screen, the game crashed and gave me an MAV. I was running the SCP:CB in the compatibility trouble shooter.
