A New Issue Related To Advertisements

#1
I have seen several users recently who sign up and post plain, off-topic posts while using a misleading signature such as links that say "see page" or "more information". These links lead to NSFW websites. I sent a PM to the first person that I saw using this technique a few days ago and their account is now deleted. Please let me know your opinion on this issue.

Well my guess is someone's doing this on purpose, if this is directly after the whole Korean spamming thing, which makes me think the mods should look and see if they banned someone recently that may have behavior that makes it seem like they are easily irritated, I haven't been on here much recently and I usually only stick to off-topic, a lot of the stuff I see elsewhere doesn't really catch my interest.
Mandatory blank signature, here.

It seems more like it's just one person now as all the people that I've seen doing this are bad at English. The person seems to register, create a signature with an ad, make a few off-topic posts and then leave, as seen here. I don't want to mention any names just yet in case that causes trouble.

And you're a prime example of one of these "bots". Or maybe you're just a person that keeps creating alternative accounts. Just stop. You don't need to keep doing this for the tiny bit of money you get for your stupid advertisements.

This is not a new issue: it's been in these forums since day one pretty much. phpbb forums are often victims to these automated account creations and regardless of what you do there's always going to be manually-logged accounts for this; The best you can do is just report them and move on. Don't make threads about them or reply to them next time, as we've said countless times, since years ago.

Maybe you should get the hint after one of the damn things says "maybe it will always happen ;d".
