I was reading blog and then i found out about first version of harpoon http://undertowgames.com/blog/2015/03/
add it to the game pls it will be efficient versus traitors and griefers. it will damage them and won't let them run away
Re: New/Old harpoon
#2Yeah, this would be very useful for grappling onto moving submarines and reeling yourself inwards. Not sure about this for traitors, that is you want to detain them without necessarily killing them. But this can easily be replaced with a Taser.

#3I think a dive reel would be more reliable than a harpoon gun for that, although it would have been useful multiple times when you go out for a repair/crawler kill and the sub ends up sinking away from youTheOverseerOfAll wrote:Yeah, this would be very useful for grappling onto moving submarines and reeling yourself inwards. Re: New/Old harpoon
#4Perhaps call it a grapple-harpoon gun? Or some type of harpoon that you can load into the harpoon gun.
It'd be useful for many things.. perhaps if you want to use a coelanth to pull you towards your submarine, you can fire at the coelanth and use it to help you get to the ship.
If you get sucked out of the airlock and the ship starts sinking, you could fire and follow the ship down.
Or perhaps in dire situations, your diver friend is knocked out and falling off a rock into the abyss and you can't catch up to him, you could fire a harpoon at him and pull him back up.
