I don't really see how this can be manned by 1 person now, the ballast control is still 2 rooms away from engine control.

So, uh, some small issue regarding the Orpheus
The light armor that overlaps with heavy armor can't be repaired from the inside of the sub and water just flows in, regardless of the heavy armor (that can be fixed from the inside)
being fully fixed
