The launcher.exe allows updating without redownloading.

Most likely the dev build version isn't the same, as the github is updated quite often.

Yesterday the master server was having issues, generally there is no way for us to fix this.
In case it does happen again you can check if others are having issues aswell in the UTG discord, since it could be your internet.

Yeah 0.8.2.0 doesn't come with a launcher for some reason.

I would recommend that you just install 0.8.1.2 again and run the launcher to update.
