Maybe there could be a suit integrity bar that decreases as you take damage and if it hits 0 you get crushed and the more damage it has the faster your oxygen drains

Perhaps there could be a trash compactor that you could put corpses into that compresses them down into bait blocks that can be ejected some how, so you dont have to drag the corpse around all the time

The less medical skill you have the more likely you are to do more harm then good by slipping and accidentally burning the subject or something =

If you damaged while your writing the note or there flooding there should be damage done to the note the make it harder to read.
Maybe also you could put the notes in a plastic bag to preserve them
