SCP-049 was programmed to spawn in any large room in the game. I think he teleports somewhere near you every time you go too far from from him for that when I always reached the same room on my save file I wanted to go into and I always restarted after SCP-049 spawned nearby. He kept spawning there....

Submarines are being programmed to see their own docking port in order to make docking easier but I guess if they are fighting each other it would be useful if there was a way to disable the signal or if it didn't occured at all.
