Is the unreal engine hard to learn?

I'm wondering how crazy it would be to make an SCP game in the unreal engine, with no prior knowledge of game creation or scripting in general. I can do 3d modeling and animation work, but I've never been a coder. How crazy am I to try this?

How hard it would be to learn is subjective, it might take some people a year to learn.
Though you can always get help from a community, I imagine there's some forums out there.

I haven't tried Unreal in general, but coding is fairly easy.
It's like modelling, you have to break down a function into different steps, and then be able to keep track of all the functions and such.
Mostly it's just syntax, I get syntax errors all the time and whenever I try to do things for CB sometimes I have to ask Juan for help,
he has dug inside the spaghetti code of CB more and knows it's functions better.

I'm pretty sure he's on his way of creating the game.
