How do I change messages in SCP:CB?

Hello! I am very new to modding and I want to change the messages (the texts that appear near the bottom of your screen), however I was unable to find anything in the .bb files. I opened the .exe file in Notepad++ (which, unsurprisingly, doesn't work very well) and the messages were there.
