Why does he not want a mods section?

Because he thinks a Mods section will make the wiki a cesspool of idiots off the internets. I think we should make a mods section only edited by admins and only uses mods on the forums.

I agree. I will talk to Steelpoint.

I really don't like the idea of a mod section. All it does is invite people (for the most part) to show off texture packs basically rather than actual full-fledge mods.

Besides, this is a wiki about Containment Breach, not about its mods. That's why we have the modding section here.

Well I understand what you are saying totally. I would propose something like, "Official Mods" so people's mods aren't thrown around everywhere on the Mods section.

I'd be happy to make a compromise by saying I could establish a Blog just for mods and add it to the front page. This way I can sort out the crap mods and actual mods.

Sure. But we can't really guarantee that people will notice it. If it were made by an admin or mod it would be recognized. But sure I guess. We can start with that and see how it goes.
