The blood/feces seems more like it accrues over time, rather than leaking off 173 all the time.

I would say maybe some blood here and there but no more.

Just enough to make the player become anxious, knowing 173 is either in the room, or was.

I've actually always expected that to happen, and been jumping over or at least evading those dark spots and cracks he left behind. We got med kits now anyway.

Yeah that would be a good addition to the game, but medkits... are useful for an unknown corrosive substance?
Of course, do you not know how medkits work?

Really, comes down to how it would work in-game rather than how much sense it makes.
Not EVERYTHING needs logic, per say.

perhaps if he get's you in a stranglehold, you could have the chance to break free by repeadedly blinking and pressing your move buttons, that would be a neat thing to me.
