Never heard of this glitch or bug...

Yeah, this bug is pretty common. Is yet to be fixed.

this happened to me too. but my case was... a bit more "serious" as I could say. I had just started the game (didn't die yet) and I went to get the gas mask. But an invisible wall as blocking me, I assumed it was an invisible glitched 173. so I went around it, as soon as the wall was behind me, my neck gets snapped an I crap myself, and it was the invisible wall. when I respawned (I had saved) the wall was still there but didn't do anything when I retraced my steps. that is something to be considered bug/glitch.

So is the wall positioned where you died, or where 173 was when you died?

173 wasn't there when I died, and the invisible wall was in the path everyone would take to get to the gas mask and document.
