Seems like SCP CB won't run on my windows 8 laptop.

I try to run it and all it gets is the memory access violation.

I tried to run it as admin,I've tried everything and it won't run.

I really enjoyed this game but I hope HOPE that this is just a bug that will be patched.

Sucks I can't play it anymore.

Windows 8 is not an operating system I trust. That's why I use Windows 7. But I'm almost positive that it won't be fixed.

I'm getting the same thing, and compatibility mode doesn't work for me, Is there any other way to play SCP without getting the Memory Violation errors?

I'm using Windows 8 and the only way I can avoid the memory access violation errors is by right-clicking the icon and choosing "Run as Administrator"

Also, what OS do you other Windows 8 users have compatibility mode for? Mine runs with very low FPS, even when I turned on compatibility mode to Windows 7. Any suggestions?

No lego, I have a better idea.

Downgrade to Windows 7. But you're idea could work. Windows 8 is not really a gaming platform so if you want to run Steam games with no problem, for the love of god: downgrade.

Sometimes, some games are compatible with Windows 8 while some are not....
If you can't play SCP:Containment Breach on Windows 8 computer, downgrade to Windows 7.
Somehow my Windows 7 computer can play well while my brother's Windows 8 laptop can't...
