Hi, so me and my friend recently bought this game together on steam but we couldn't find each other's servers on the "Join Server" tab. We thought this was due to port forwarding, so I opened both the 27016 and 27015 ports but still nothing. I tried launching the DedicatedServer executable in the game files and I was able to connect via my IP and localhost but my friend still couldn't, I checked my firewall and Barotrauma was allowed on both public and private networks. Is there something I'm missing? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can you check what happens, when friends try to connect to dedicated server? When they try, there should be some messages appearing in the server console - if there isn't any, then it's something on your computer blocking their connections.

I found a solution;

It turns out there's this thing called port triggering which I hadn't heard about, but you need to add rules in there as well (using the same ports and IP etc.). So if you're having the same problems I had, try looking for port triggering as well. Thanks anyway Soushi

Yeah, you have to forward your ports to your local ip first,like if you were hosting a dedicated server.
