The load shown on junction boxes is the full load of the system, not just what is connected to them.

I was experimenting with over-voltage on the reactor... the sub above, (remora on happy submarine) didn't seem to care if the reactor was over volted.
The Dugong (?) I could over volt the reactor... but it still showed a full load.
(the junction boxes were totally fried)

when I repair the first junction box to the reactor it quickly caches fire (seen behind)

But the reactor still has a load requirement of 2500...

No overvoltage on Orca either.

The behavior previously was that the load would go to 0, the fission rate would still be high, and following the reactor would blow.

Okay first 4 rods? Your a mad man
One rod works the rector at 95% efficiency very rarely should you use two, more then that is a explosion waiting to happen and it may be why your having all these problems

when the box is broke it’s the equivalent of them being disconnected from the reactor so when your fixing just one and outputting as if it where for the whole system it makes sense that it’s bursting into flames.

The remora on happy submarine may not be the same one as vanilla. While devices and wiring may be the same in editor you can mess with values and prevent boxes from breaking all together. If the sub is the same it may be the fact that the Remora has a lot higher of a power demand then the Duogong so putting the reactor on max output would maybe be 500 volts over on the remora but 1000 volts over on the duogong damaging the boxes a lot more

Also I highly suggest using auto control more as if your not using more then one rod there’s a very little chance of the reactor overloading if boxes break, you can still use two and more rods on auto control but it’s more likely to over heat if a box breaks
