I Need Help Hosting

I have being having trouble hosting a game. I would like to point out that I'm new to PC gaming (relatively speaking). So I created a Inbound rule for the game, following the instructions on the readme. (you know, UDP, 14242). Now the only issue that could be there would be the fact that on the readme its states that the "Service/Application: barotrauma". I have tried this with numerous programs in the folder yet they don't seem to work, but I digress. Despite numerous tries I can't seem to get it to work. I would appreciate any help that could be provided.
If you have reached the end of this without rolling eyes, well done, you most likely understand and sympathise with my prediciment. If not, well I can hardly blame you.
