What about adding the 'Health Scanner Headset' from the '[OLD]ish Barotrauma Extended PLUS 1.7' mod by blitzbrigade to the base game?
The 'Health Scanner Headset' is like the name already says the 'Health Scanner' and the 'Headset' combined into one.

inventory and whole ui is getting overhauled in 0.9. it might be possible to equip both at the same time

If they make it so you can wear both at once the health HUD should have to have a battery just so its not too easy
