When you've done bad you've done bad. At that point you're just fucked and you'll have to put up with whatever the security team/captain deems is a fitting punishment.
Or the traitor actually accomplishes the "Stay hidden" task and everything should be fine. life is rough, so should be the game. There is no reason to cry if you go to jail after killing the crew. But if you kill the crew in some stealthy way and no one can blame you/others blame someone else, you win.

I think griefers will become much less of a problem and much less of a thing to worry about once we have a more rounded game with better administration features and persistent servers with full-time admin teams. Regalis seems to be taking a lot of inspiration from SS13, and most SS13 servers don't have epidemic grief problems thanks to the efforts of the admin teams. Of course things like BYOND's sticky ban system helps.
