Hello, ever since I tired this game last week I have been addicted - trying to create new things and sampling other peoples creations. I have come to a roadblock however, I have recently begun editing/creating new monster XML files however I am a complete nub when it comes to spriting - and was hoping someone could point me in the general direction of a good 2d spriting tool used for this game. And ways to impliment them with the XML? I will keep making attempts using trial and error, but would appreciate a nudge in the right direction!

Well, making a monster is a lot more difficult than making new items. I tried something really simple; making a baby mantis, and I just couldn't make it work, lol.

As for making sprites, any picture editing tool should be enough. I use a really old tool called corel paint shop pro and some ppl would use GIMP, which is free. It's best to use existing sprites to make new ones too.

As I mentioned before, character xml files are really hard to figure out so I can't be of much help there. I've only done really small things, like new clothes, which uses similar strings to those found in character xml files.

Sure thing, lad. I'll give monsters a try again sometime soon. I have some creature ideas in mind I'd like to implement.
