On one of my youtube video's (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJySqvPihYQ), why is youtube telling me that they need to know about my Rights for Commercial Use? Do I even need that for SCP Containment Breach?
The video is still working fine though, except for that it is not monetized anymore.
Edit: Do I need permission from Regalis?

wow youtube being more strict, what country you in?
Also yeah technically you would need Regalis permission and even the SCP Foundation i think. But you should be able to get away with probably just the first one.
Edit: Depending on what country you are in just tack on the word "REVIEW" at the end of the video and it should be totally legal even with ads....

I've never had a problem with my SCP videos.
The difference being that I add commentary...

apparently, games do not need permission at all.
Whenever I record games, I only get problem of claim if the game has music or I edit music in the video, but if it's raw gameplay, no claiming action should take hold.
Unless you're a partner. Maybe they will do that to you then.

I didn't edit any music in the video at all, but anyway, I got Regalis' permission along with proof that this game its rights may be shared anywhere

you really do not need permission
cause if you did, everyone who has a lets play of SCP would need Regalis's permission to do so, commentary or not.

Yea that's kind of what Regalis said himself too, since the rights of SCPCB say that it may be shared anywhere

Video games are the only thing not affected by the copyright market.
I really don't know why, because if you view a game's story thru a Youtube video, some consumers won't buy.
I guess it applies to the concept of actually playing the game, since play provides a different experience than watching or listening (which is what you do for movies/music respectively)

Really? Because I remember I once wanted to buy some Shirt (or whatever it was) that I customized myself where I added a picture on it from some game, and I got told that no Game content at all is allowed.
Something else is (it seems to be different now though) that Youtube used to tell me the game when uploading a video, something about that a video may not contain the contents of any video game (at least, not when you want to monetize it)
