Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've created a topic.

As some of you may know, SCP - Containment Breach v1.4 will be running on a new engine that will solve many of Blitz3D's shortcomings.

Recently we've been putting in a lot of work in loading in the existing assets, rewriting collision and getting the engine to run on new platforms, and enough progress has been made to show you a demo!

When I run it it doesn't work. I get a pop up saying "SCP-Containment breach has stopped working". I installed OpenAL32.dll what else can I do?

I installed the DLL I needed to install, but for whatever reason all the program does is open up with a white screen for a few seconds and then close.

I'm going to guess this is an April Fools prank (I thought it was before starting up and it seems to be confirmed). I was expecting something more from the prank than a missing file not starting up, but if that energy is spent towards making 1.14 great I am fine with it. I do have a quick question tho. Will 1.14 have the map creator and if so will the bugs in it be fixed? (I have outlined many of the bugs in a bug report mega post.)

Yes this was an April Fools joke, but it wasn't intended to just crash on startup.

We posted a new build now which should hopefully run as intended. If any other other issues come up then please let us know.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Spoiler
Well I enjoyed it but the stairs were dark as shit and it took me a little bit to navigate. Still I enjoyed it very much and I think it was funny! Btw is this the engine that will be used?

Was the Windows version updated? It still doesn't seem to run. Thanks!

Did the game produce an exception log? If not then make sure you're running the latest download.

It had the same thing that happened when I first tried it. All it gave was a popup about the file OpenAL32 (same as when I first tried it). I tried to download it again (clicked on the Windows thing in original post), but it still has the same error when I try to play it. The files look the same and the folder has the same size, but I know it isn't the same file since I moved the others to the recycling bin. Are you sure the Windows version link was updated as well? Thanks for taking the time to reply!

You need to run oalinst.exe to fix this error.
