Issue with Map Creator

I just saved my map and i do have a back up. Only problem is that i haven't saved the backup in 7 hours due to my being dumb. But that's beside the point. Whenever i try to open up my main map (which is 22KB if thats any important.) The map creator just crashes, Could i get some help?

I have three questions for you. How did you attempt to open the map? What file type was the map saved as? Do you have any other versions of the game (including mods)? The map creator has a ton of bugs (I made a list in bug report section).
