Multiplayer isn't maybe the best thing. But Multiplayer Co-Op. Co-Op for 2-4 players. Maybe you are right, that the ''feeling of isolation'' will disappear. But if there was a Co-Op option, there would be more fun, playing the game. So many people would love to have a some kind of multiplayer option. Really. Just think about it.

The FAQ says no official multiplayer. Therefore no official multiplayer. Sorry to say, but it's true. Try your luck with the mod when it's released instead.
