I am going to preempt what I think will be the most likely responses to say that the general consensus given last time the issue of Steam was brought up was that having SCP:CB on Steam would be nice but effective hard to justify due to the fee and lack of monotization on the game. There was also some debate over weather Steam would put a game out that would be free.

I won't lock this thread, yet. However keep any future discussion on topic and civil. I don't want to see any stupid
NO!
Exclamations or something similar.

I think that this game on Steam would be nice
It would be good... but not without C++ Conversion.

My idea is put that game into Concept section of GreenLight.

Black Mesa Source is free, and you only need the free source SDK Base to run it.

I wanted to clear up a few misconceptions about Steam Greenlight and whether or not SCP-CB should be submitted.

I actually vote and follow games on Steam Greenlight because I am a huge fan of indie games. Steam Greenlight would be perfect for SCB-CB to get exposed to even more people and to get feedback on the things that are working and not working. I don't think anyone should be afraid to post a game as good as this one on Steam just because they may be afraid of a few griefers on there. To me, if you are proud of your work, and you have a good idea, then thats all that matters. Besides, unlike many games on there, SCP-CB already has a huge fan following, especially in Russia. I would suggest that the game be submitted in the Concept section(Which is Free) Just to test the waters and until Regalis is comfortable for release on Steam. Free games ARE on Steam Greenlight. You can release free mods or games. Also, I suggest anyone who still have doubts, look at Six Eight Two and SCP Wander which have already done it and have been getting good feedback. I follow those two games on Steam. They posted in the Concept section since their games are far from ready for actually gameplay. I hope that clears up some of the concerns voiced on the forum.

I wanted to add one more thing. I personally think that SCP-CB is suitable for submission on the actual Greenlight page (Which does cost $100), however I don't think Regalis would feel comfortable with that just yet so that is why I recommend the Concept submission first.
