Abandoned Facility mode(Just an idea)

Could be an unlockable, a secondary mode, not very large, about 15 minutes of gameplay (something like scp-087-b). You have to enter the facility (after the Breach) to clean it, search for scaped SCPs or something. Abandoned facilities are always creepy, so we should take advantage of this.

When you said this I was actually thinking of being able to roam around the facility with out having to deal with SCP's or anything. Although you can just do that with the terminal.

Like Destructoid said, a bit of elaboration would be nice.

However, an abandoned facility would make little sense, even as a separate gamemode. The Foundation wouldn't just abandon a perfectly good site, even after a breach.

Well, not abandoned of course, I didn't know how to call it. Just the facility after the Breach. An example:
You're a class-D (from another facility maybe?) and they order you to go around the facility and report any SCPs you encounter (like if you were a "recon solider"). Then, like in 087, an InstaKill SCP kills you with a jumpscare.

That sounds pretty much like the game we have now, but with a different intro. I don't see how it would be any different.

If SCP:CB was a full on commercial release with a price tag, the idea put forward might make a nice short demo showcasing the site after the actual game.

However it seems that only the intro and outro would be changed, meaning there is little difference in gameplay terms. Not a bad idea but some refinement could be used. Maybe for example many rooms are starting to enter decay, and you could see sights of several "Last Stands" by former foundation personal.

Like Soulzarath said, I though it would also be free roaming. That to me seems like a pretty good idea just seeing the facility and not worrying about being killed by 173... and... 106... Yeah! Pretty cool idea, especially in 0.7 it would be pretty cool seeing as how Regalis added more "zones" and looks to them. That's my novel of the day.
