It's still possible for 096 to be set off without seeing his face. I kept triggering his panic stage when he was just off the edge of my screen so that I couldn't see him, but somehow it still made him panic. For example, if you look at his upper chest without viewing any of his face, he'll still get angry, but still, I'm sure it'll completely accurate one day.
