The Creative Commons is not the only reason why the game is free.
Like I said, I forgot the other reason.

#122The CC doesn't affect whether or not Regalis can charge for the game. The only reason he's not is because the SCP community would most likely be pissed.Cridone wrote:The Creative Commons is not the only reason why the game is free.

#123I guess I should read up more.CommanderPro100 wrote: The CC doesn't affect whether or not Regalis can charge for the game. The only reason he's not is because the SCP community would most likely be pissed.
Re: Importing CB into Unity!. (PROJECT - ACTIVE) (NEW VIDEO)
#124Actually, he can't. Each SCP is the work of an individual, so he can't charge when using the ideas of others even though he is the one making the game. Imagine if you create a character and then someone takes it without asking you and makes a TV show out of it, but you gain no money out of it.CommanderPro100 wrote: The CC doesn't affect whether or not Regalis can charge for the game. Some even get pissed that he is accepting donations. Which I admit is stupid because donations and payments are completely different things.

#125The SCP Wiki (or more specifically every Wikidot site) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License. This means that the content can be remixed, shared, and be used commercially as long as you give credit to the original author.spartan322 wrote:Actually, he can't. You could write up a TV show or movie. You can make posters or T-shirts. We are not under a non-commercial license. You can sell the remixes you make based on the SCP Foundation. However, keep in mind that you probably will not get rich off of them, because under Share-Alike, anyone can freely copy or pirate your stuff and you have no legal recourse. But you could, for instance, ask people for five bucks to defray the cost of printing a poster, or something like that.

#128I don't have it? Its not really a thing that needs evidence. It was said in the old forums and mentioned somewhere in the foundation page.Cridone wrote: Evidence, I demand it.

#129I guess I'll just search the SCP Foundation Forum.

#130I may start scripting some more stuff for this but probably not until after Christmas, because: I am lazy, I have to learn Python very quickly for an assessment (I was told I could do it in C#), DotA, being ill, Jane Austen and the fact that I need to retrieve all the work which has already been done from Chris.
Again, anyone can contribute - CB would probably not be as well know as it is without the contributions and help it has received.
