Currently it's in alpha, and i have the same question as you.
1.0 will probably be a full version

I don't know, theres nothing really stopping Regalis from updating past 1.0 is there?.

I never said a full version can't be updated :P
After a game has a full version, that doesn't mean it's never going to be updated ever again. It can be updated like: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.

I see :) , i was just saying it could possily reach 2.0 and beyond, though personally i don't think 1.0 is going to be the full version yet, theres still SCP-860 that is probably still being worked on (not sure how close it is to being finished)

I really doubt that the game will be getting a full release anytime soon.

Reg. probably isn't going to change the engine on this thing, ever.
For proof, check out the FAQ

Wow! This game HAS gone a long way! Maybe I'll try the first version of SCP: Containment Breach sometime. I'd like to see the alpha-ness.

The engine being used right now is great. It allows easy customizing, modding, and other stuff. The game mechanics are good too.

Uh, just about any Engine can do that. B3D is about as BASIC as it gets. Any Engine including Blitz allows for modding, easy customization and all that other stuff.

Well, I just figured, since a few people have been making new SCPs, items, and other stuff for the game. I would imagine it being easier than other engines.
