Uh, just about any Engine can do that. B3D is about as BASIC as it gets. Any Engine including Blitz allows for modding, easy customization and all that other stuff.
B3D is not mod friendly in comparison with other games; you can't run multiple mods and those mods are mods for the source code, and Blitz doesn't really support realtime compiling/external script.

I bet the next version (1.0) will be released around mid-april. It might look like a long wait, but it isn't! Remember, there's a high chance for 860 on this one.

I'd love to see 860, as would anyone else, but don't be getting your hopes up. I am also perfectly happy to wait a while for this update, seeing as really it should be a pretty damn major one.

There usually aren't any release dates when it comes to this game since it's technically developed by one guy on his free time. The chance of 860 being in depends on how the dudes working on it do pretty much.

Regalis stated that Mirocaine is working on two SCPs currently and that they'll be added in 1.0. Wait a sec... Found it!
