I haven't seen any news about SCP-Containment Breach getting updated anytime soon, since Regilas is now working on Subsurface. I believe that the community will have to take Regilas place or just try to keep the game alive as long as possible.

And we're doing a fantastic job at that. Just look at how alive the forum is!
I'm sorry, but I think society is moving on. Markiplier hasn't played SCP for several updates now, and even Jellegendz is turning away from SCP. There is, however, juanjpro and a couple others who are building there own SCP CB games. So if that's not keeping the game alive, then I don't know what is. Omniary did say he's seen this forum more dead than this before though, so just hold onto that for a while and see what happens.

I still believe that SCP: CB will one day get updated again, because if development of the game would have stopped, Regalis would have already made a post about it.
EDIT: Also, the Nine Tailed Fox mod for SCP: CB keeps this game alive at least a bit.

If Regalis does come back to SCP-Containment Breach, it might take a while for him to get used to Blitz3D. Since he will be active on Subsurface for a while.

In my opinion, I don't think it would be a very big problem for him, as Blitz3D is a pretty easy programming language and I don't think it would be taking that long for him. But you are also right on the other hand, as the programming language Barotrauma is using is way different than Blitz3D.
