SCP Containment Breach ~ Remastered Soundtrack

#1
After 9 years in development, hopefully, it will have been worth the wait.

This is something I started putting together a little under a year ago, with the intention of just compiling all of Containment Breach's music tracks into a single download. However, after seeing LOL_DUDE's soundtrack, it began to highlight some issues with what I was doing as well.

The biggest sticking point with simply listening to the songs through the game’s files is that they’re all stored in compressed OGG files and are mostly shortened from their original sources in order to conserve space. It makes listening to the songs outside the game pretty underwhelming.

That’s where this soundtrack comes in. It not only compiles the songs together into a nice packaged download but also comes with a handful of improvements over the tracks heard in-game.

Some features include:
  • All tracks remastered in high quality mp3 files.
  • Tracks are (when possible) ripped directly from their original sources rather than simply taken from the game’s files. This means that several songs are now up to 1.5x longer than their counterparts featured in-game, allowing each track to feel more like real pieces of music.
  • Proper metadata that appropriately credits artists and composers.
  • Songs organized in a manner that reflects the game’s progression. (Intro —> LCZ —> HCZ —> EZ —> Finale)
  • Decent sound mixing that gives tracks proper fade-outs and seamless loops (as long as you don't listen too hard). Some sound effects are also thrown into some songs to make them feel more organic.
Arguably this is the best way to listen to all of the game’s music, as this compilation makes it feel more like a real OST rather than a midi rip.

As a soundtrack in itself, it’s a decent ambience collection with some more up-tempo songs thrown into the mix. A good listen if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Note: The following reply occurred after 2 pages of off-topic shitposting from the user "914 killed me".
Honestly I'd prefer this thread being dead/forgotten over becoming a center for shitposting.

At this point it's safe to assume 914 Killed Me is either a troll or an idiot, so I'd just not respond to him.

Um, what tracks were even introduced in 1.3?

The only tracks that were added were 1499's music but they're so barebones that they don't even qualify as music. I mean the chase theme is just a 5-6 second loop (why is it even stretched to 45 seconds long for the game's files? Vane plz).it is in fact the peanut house

I guess I could add the theme that plays when 049 enters the surveillance room but I'm probably going to hold off from updating the download until there's enough music additions in the game to warrant updating it.

Hmm, alright then. I thought there were more tracks added, but it might just be my imagination, rip.

I guess you could add that new track that plays in 914's room.
